Politische Theorie hat mit einer kritischen Evaluierung der Ideen wichtiger Denker und Philosophen zu tun, um eine Archäologie des Wissens zu schaffen. Grundlegende Konzepte wie Rechte und Macht, die das Fundament der Politikwissenschaft ausmachen, werden untersucht. Politische Theorie inkludiert auch das Studium von Ideologien wie Sozialismus, Liberalismus oder Post-Modernismus.

Kunst kann als eine Erinnerung an komplexe politische Ideen fungieren. Kunsttheorie kann die Politik des Repräsentierens in Frage stellen, die politische Aktivität von Künstlern und ihre Kunst erforschen und emanzipatorische Ansätze für die Gesellschaft offenbaren. Das Ziel des Seminars ist eine Untersuchung politischer und kunsttheoretischer Texte um die Ansicht, dass ein metaphysischer Unterschied zwischen Politik und Kunst existiert, zu hinterfragen.

Political theory is concerned with critical evaluation of the ideas of important philosophers and great thinkers, establishing a kind of archaeology of knowledge. It also seeks to investigate the basic concepts that provide the foundations of political science, concepts such as rights and power. Political theory is concerned as well with the study of ideologies, such as socialism, liberalism, or post-modernism.

Art can serve as a reminder of complex political ideas. Art theory can raise questions about the politics of representation, can explore the political activity of artists and their art and offer emancipatory perspectives for society, among other things. The goal of the course is to examine both political and art theory texts in order to question the notion that there is a metaphysical distinction between politics and art.
