Wir werden uns auf drei kurze Texte konzentrieren: Jacques Lacans "The Signification of the Phallus" (phallocentrism), Jacques Derridas "Plato's Pharmacy" (phallogocentrism) und Hélène Cixous "The Laugh of the Medusa" (écriture féminine). Wir untersuchen mit Hilfe der Analyse dieser Texte, wie Phallokratie und Patriarchie konstruiert und wahrgenommen werden, um ihre ihnen zugrundeliegenden Mechanismen besser zu verstehen. Unser Ziel ist es, eine tiefere und umfassendere Einsicht in die dominanten lSozialstrukturen zu gewinnen, besonders in Bezug auf die Produktion, Präsentation und Rezeption von Kunst, und diese (teilweise oppressiven) Strukturen zu überwinden.

We will focus on three short texts: Jacques Lacan's "The Signification of the Phallus" (phallocentrism), Jacques Derrida's "Plato's Pharmacy" (phallogocentrism) and Hélène Cixous' "The Laugh of the Medusa" (écriture féminine). Through an analysis of the texts, we will investigte how phallocracy and patriarchy are constructed and perceived, in order to better understand their mechanisms. The goal is to gain a deeper and wider view of the dominant societal structures, especially in relation to the creation, presentation and reception of art, and to ultimately transcend them.
