Semiotics of a precarious artist in winter is a seminar that will make both a theoretical and practical examination of the vulnerability of a body under neoliberal, patriarchical, and racialised capitalism.  In this seminar we will do a close reading of the relationship between our social environment and the pains we are experiencing in our bodies. Each day we will make some potions that are thought to address common stressors on a body in winter. We will make these potions ourselves as an effort to move ourselves beyond the boundaries of reliance on health industries that do not provide adequate care.
